Countable Noun (ေရတြက္လို႔ ရတဲ့ နာမ္) နဲ႔ Uncountable Noun (ေရတြက္လို႔ မရတဲ့ နာမ္)
Countable Noun ရဲ႕ အေရွ႕မွာ a, an ကို သံုးလို႔ ရေပမဲ့ Uncountable Noun ရဲ႕ အေရွ႕မွာေတာ့ သံုးလို႔ မရပါဘူး။ ဥပမာ - a song, an accident, a nice beach ဒါေပမဲ့ a sand, a music, a rice တို႔ေတာ့ မျဖစ္ႏိုင္ဘူးေပါ့။
တခါတေလ Uncountable Noun ရဲ႕ အေရွ႕ေတြမွာ a, an သံုးလို႔ ရတဲ့အခါ ရွိတယ္။ a cup of tea, a grain of rice တို႔လို ပံုစံမ်ဳိးေတြေလ။
ဥပမာ စာေၾကာင္းေလးေတြကို ၾကည့္ရေအာင္
- I eat an apple every day.
- I like apples.
- I eat rice every day.
- I like rice.
အဲဒီ ေနရာမွာ I eat apple လို႔ ေရးလို႔ မရဘူး။ apple ရဲ႕ အေရွ႕မွာေတာ့ Articles – a, an, the တစ္ခုခု ျဖစ္ျဖစ္၊ my, your တို႔လို ပိုင္ဆိုင္မႈျပ စကားလံုးေတြ ျဖစ္ျဖစ္ ပါေနမွရတယ္။
ဒါေပမဲ့ I eat rice မွာေတာ့ အဲဒါေတြ မပါလည္း ရတယ္။
ဥပမာ စာေၾကာင္းေလးေတြ ေရးျပလိုက္မယ္။
- Kate was singing a song.
- Jhon was listening to music.
- There is a student in the class.
- There is sand in my shoes.
- We haven’t got enough cups.
- We haven’t got enough water.
